For Your Horse:
http://www.blowingrockequestrian.com/blowingrockequestrian/campingstabling.html
We have reserved several barns for the FunFest where our horses can stay.  You will need to
rent a stall for each horse you bring when you arrive at the event.  If you will need space for your
tack and feed, you may want to coordinate with other attendees to share a common tack/feed
stall.  The per stall rent applies to stalls being used for tack/feed.

  • Your hay should be labelled (duct tape works well on the bailing twine with your name on
    the tape).
  • Feed bags need to be labeled.
  • Bring enough snap hooks to secure stall doors and hang buckets.  And remember to
bring water buckets for your horse!
  • Lee and Libby can help with early morning/late afternoon feedings. If you will be having
them help, your horse(s) grain should be bagged by serving size, in paper bags, with the
name of your horse and the date and approximate time ( am or pm ) it should be fed.
  • Make a stall card to pin outside of your horse's stall. Include the name of the horse, your
name, where you will be staying, and any phone numbers where you can be reached. It is
a good idea to put this card in a zip-loc bag and tack it to the outside of the stall where your
    horse can't eat it.
  • Bring a muck bucket and fork to keep your stall clean. Lee and Libby aren't taking on this
job. Some people prefer a small wheelbarrow.

BREP prices:
  • Stalls - $25.00 / night
  • Campsite   - $25.00
  • Shavings - $6.00
  • Hay - To Be Determined

Camping at the event:
http://www.blowingrockequestrian.com/blowingrockequestrian/campingstabling.html
Please call and make reservations for your RV/camper.  When you contact the stables, you will
need to indicate the size of campsite you need, how many horses you plan to bring, and how
many days you will be staying. Please identify yourself as being a part of the Fjords and Friends
Fun Fest; you only need to reserve a campsite.  Your horses will be in the reserved barns.

Camping is not allowed without bringing horses. The number is 828-295-4700.  Collette McNell
is the facility manager.

Upon arrival, please park near the office and register before unloading your horses.

Note:  Dogs must be on a leash at all times while at the Blowing Rock Equestrian Preserve or in
Moses Cone Park.  Owners of loose dogs are subject to a fine of $200.00
